Since 1958, URJ Eisner Camp has come to embody the transformative power of Jewish camping. Each summer, youngsters from the URJ’s Northeast, Greater New York, and New Jersey-West Hudson Valley regions join together to have fun while experiencing the magic of this special community. Grounded in Jewish values, the Eisner Camp community is immersed in a wide range of innovative educational pursuits and unique spiritual experiences. Established in 1998, Crane Lake Camp is part of the URJ family of resident camps. Youngsters from the URJ’s Northeast, Greater New York, and New Jersey-West Hudson Valley regions come to West Stockbridge, MA, to experience the transformative power of Jewish camping. Varying session options are designed to fit everyone’s summer schedules—from two weeks to the full seven weeks—and campers are sure to make lifelong friends. Founded in 2010, 6 Points Sports Academy offers intensive, high-quality sports instruction while providing individualized attention to each athlete. Instructed by a line-up of passionate coaches and counselors, 6 Points Sports campers not only improve their athletic abilities, but also build self-confidence, strong connections to their peers, and grow into proud Jewish athletes. Since 2014, 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy has been a place where scientific inquiry meets fun! Campers entering grades five through 10 spend two weeks exploring robotics, video game design, environmental science, digital media, and a host of other fun activities. Throughout the program, campers explore what Judaism means to them—and how this complements their interests in science and technology. Learn more.
Established in 2018, 6 Points Creative Arts Academy allows campers entering grades four through 12 to explore their passions and improve their skills in creative writing, culinary arts, dance, instrumental or vocal music, theatre, and visual arts. From arts majors and minors, to electives and kinesthetic arts (recreational activities), to all-camp programs that build community, each 12-day session is taught by experts in each field and helps campers to advance their skills, discover new passions, and make lifelong friends—while seeing how the interconnection of the arts and Judaism can spark transformational change in their lives. For more than 50 years, Mitzvah Corps has been the premier provider of social justice experiences for high school students. The program gives teens the opportunity to travel the world, build meaningful relationships with one another and their global peers, understand the complexities and challenges facing various communities, take action on issues they care about, and become empowered by Judaism to enact real change. Most importantly, teens have the chance to build meaningful relationships with like-minded peers from around the world, ask valuable questions, support local efforts, and become real global citizens. Since 1958, thousands of families have chosen to send their teens to Israel with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). Participants hike, climb, discover, and explore with new friends from across the continent, and then return home with endless personal accomplishments, meaningful memories, and stories they never forget. Six different trips are available, including a visit to Eastern Europe, a deep Hebrew immersion, a trip through the lens of social justice, a trip through the lens of science and technology, and a sports Israel trip.
