Jewish Learning Lab Teacher Spotlight: Liza Levy

We’re excited to share our second JLL Teacher Spotlight, featuring the wonderful Liza Levy! Liza brings warmth, creativity, and a love of Jewish learning to her classroom every week.

“I love connecting with kids and seeing how they interpret the prayers and relate them to their daily lives. Their eyes light up with curiosity and a desire to learn about Judaism and their heritage.”

What Liza finds most rewarding about her job at JLL:

“The most rewarding part is seeing how much my class has learned since the beginning of the year.”

Favorite classroom activity:

“My favorite activity was the Chocolate Seder—it was fun, meaningful, and delicious!”

What makes WRT’s JLL special to Liza:

“The JLL brings kids together and fosters a sense of community and belonging within a larger community.”
We are always looking for inspired educators to join our JLL team! You don’t need to be an expert—we will provide curriculum, training, and support. If you or someone you know is interested in building positive Jewish identity in our youth, please contact us at daniella.kamisbrown@wrtemple.org.

Jewish Learning Lab Teacher Spotlight: Jori Wolfe

Meet JLL Educator, Jori Wolfe. Jori is a 1st grade teacher and our 1st JLL teacher spotlight.

“I love my job at WRT’s JLL because the spirituality feeds my soul, and I have so much fun with my young students.

What I find most rewarding about my job at JLL is that I am tasked with empowering young students to develop their Jewish identities. If they embrace Judaism, and are proud of their traditions and heritage, I will have made a difference in the fight against anti-semitism.

WRT’s JLL is special because we are constantly striving to find different ways to engage young students through project-based learning and hands-on, multi-sensory activities. Our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching!”

We are always looking for inspired educators to join our JLL team! You don’t need to be an expert – we will provide you with curriculum, training and support.
