Sharing Shabbat

Dear friends and families of WRT,
Below you will find information on Sharing Shabbat, which is a special, family-based JLL program at WRT – an alternative pathway to the Sunday, kids only learning option.
Each Saturday morning during the JLL school year, families meet from 9 am-12 pm for:
    • A family-friendly Shabbat service
    • A bagel oneg brunch for kids and adults with time for schmoozing
    • JLL religious school classes for the kids (currently Kindergarten through 7th grades) and a concurrent, wide-ranging discussion for the adults with a member of the clergy team
Please note that:
    • Babysitting is available during the adult discussion for children ages 2.5-4.5
    • Dress is casual – sport uniforms are welcome too, as kids are often coming from and going to sports, etc.
The magic of Sharing Shabbat is the community itself. These families truly get to know one another, forging deep and meaningful friendships, sharing experiences and laughs during the discussion, uplifting and supporting one another in good times and in hard times.
To learn more about the program, check out the video below. (*Video coming soon) I hope that you will seriously consider Sharing Shabbat for your family’s path through the JLL! Please feel free to be in touch with me should you have any questions: cantor.rodnizki@wrtemple.orgI am also happy to put you in touch with current families in the program if you’d like to hear more.

(We know that many families are juggling sports and other commitments on Saturdays, and we have found ways to be flexible and make it work well. Please reach out to me, and we can talk through some options!)
Warmly,
Cantor Danielle Rodnizki
